Sanderson Ford Used Cars – Ford Used Cars like Escape have become popular Compact SUVs since they were relaunched in 2001. Ford Motor Company is watching closely and seeing how successful Toyota and Honda are doing in this part of the car industry. Ford’s good name in having the best truck in the world, helped him gain very fast popularity with consumers and a few years later took over as the best-selling Compact SUV in North America. Today is still the best-selling vehicle on the market, so I decided to research the model from 2001 to the mid-2000s and see why Escape is so popular.
Ford Escape used cars:
The interior of the Ford Escape from 2001 to 2006 is your basic display that Ford has with all its vehicles, terrible. When you rethink why Ford experienced problems in the mid-2000s and sales dropped, I really believe it was due to poor interior and exterior design. That all changed when they brought in a new CEO and made serious changes to the Ford design team. But back to the interior, if you have ever been in any Ford vehicle, you will recognize the steering wheel, engine instruments, seats, buttons and center console that are the same as any other Ford and the same in Escape.

Ford used cars like Escape have different engine sizes from 2001 to 2005. From 2001 to 2004 you can choose a 2.0 liter, four cylinder or 3.0 liter V6 engine. Then in 2005 Ford gave additional four-cylinder power, making it a 2.3 liter engine. Both come with all-wheel drive and front wheels and have a five-speed automatic transmission.
I found two fuel statistics for fuel savings for the Ford Escape. Models from 2001 to 2005 have different fuel ratings depending on engine size. The four-cylinder engine has 10 liters, per 100 km for city driving and 7.7 liters, per 100 km for driving on the highway. The V6 engine has a fuel rating, 13.4 liters, per 100km, for city driving and 9.2 liters, per 100km for driving on the highway.
Let’s look at the pros and cons of buying a used Ford Escape:
1- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration conducts a frontal collision test on Escape and gives it a four-star rating.
2- Some website forums that I have visited discuss things about Escape; don’t have serious mechanical problems to talk about.
3- The Escape is a used vehicle that is much cheaper to buy than the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.
