Used Car Dealerships Spokane Wa – A former used car dealer was badly damaged by a fire on Wednesday morning in the Spokane Valley. Spokane Valley firefighters were summoned to the former Best Bet Auto, 4605 E. Sprague Ave., just before 4.30 am. The crew from Valley Engine 6 first arrived and immediately saw thick smoke and fire billowing from the structure.
Shawn Pichette, spokesman for the Spokane Valley Fire Department, said the fire was too strong for firefighters to get into the structure, so they instead installed a hose and threw water into the fire from outside. Pichette said the building was most likely empty, but it was a popular place for homeless people to go in and sleep for the night.

Sprague Avenue is closed for about two hours in both directions. The Eastbound line is opened around 7am. Westbound lines remain closed Wednesday morning, while firefighters continue to mop.
Pichette said the call came from a Costco security guard carrying a cart along Sprague Avenue.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
