Used Car Under 3000 – In Canada, we like our trucks – even if most of us don’t use them to do many things, such as carrying firewood ropes, you see them in truck ads. For around $ 30,000 for 4WD by taxi crew, you might have to see trucks from 2015 or earlier.

Options include the 2015 Ford F-150 ($ 29,144, average, according to Canadian Black Book), 2015 Ram 1500 ($ 26,865), Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ($ 28,671), GMC Sierra ($ 29,702), 2013 Toyota Tundra ($ 31,704 ) and 2015 Nissan Titan ($ 29,995).

Of these, Tundra is the only one recommended by Consumer Reports.

2015 Ram 1500

4th generation: 2009-2018 (facelift for 2013)
The average price requested for the base (with 4WD and cabin crew): $ 26,855 (Canadian Black Book)
Engine: 3.6 liter V-6 (305 hp), 3 liter V-6 diesel (240 hp), 5.7 liter V-8 Hemi (395 hp)
Transmission / Drive: 8-speed automatic, 6-speed automatic (available at Hemi) / rear wheel or four wheels
Fuel economy (liters / 100 km): 14.6 cities, 10.1 highways (4WD, base 3.6 liters V-6); regular gas

The 2015 Ram, maybe “Ram Tough,” is like a running slogan, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be civilized too.

“Ram 1500 has the best interior of full size pickup … [and] a quiet and smooth ride both on and off the road, “said Edmunds. “Whether you are looking for a basic work truck, a full family vehicle or a bit of both, Ram 1500 2015 is a satisfying solution.”

For 2015, there are nine trims: ST, SXT, SLT (regular, quad or crew crew), Outdoorsman, Big Horn, Sport, Laramie (quad or crew crew), Laramie Longhorn and Laramie Limited (crew-cab-only). Crew taxis are available with 5-foot-7 or 6-foot-4 beds.

Consumer Reports said the 1500 was “very smooth but still able to handle truck tasks” and had the most comfortable ride from any truck. It likes the excellent powertrain, the transmission is “slippery” and “the taxi crew is super quiet, super spacious.”

It was gripping the “big climb to the cabin,” a heavy truck and lack of steps to get into bed.

Consumer Reports gives Ram 2015, two of five Ram for reliability.

There are ten withdrawals, including errors that could potentially cause the tailgate to open when driving.

2015 Ford F-150

Thirteenth generation: 2015 until now
The average price requested for the base (with 4WD and cabin crew): $ 29,144 (Canadian Black Book)
Engine: 3.5-liter V-6 (282 hp), 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 (325 hp), 3.5-liter turbocharged, V-6 (365 hp), 5-liter V-8 (385 hp)
Transmission / Drive: Six-speed automatic / Rear wheel, four wheel
Fuel economy (liter / 100 km): 13.8 cities, highway 10.9 (4WD, base 282-hp V-6); regular gas

The Ford F-150 has been the most popular vehicle in Canada for decades, although the rudest driving that we see most is the city streets before the snow plow comes out.

“I still don’t understand why so many Canadians choose full size pickup as their daily driver, [but] who says, this new F-150 feels very good to drive,” said Globe Drive.

For a half-ton redesign in 2015, Ford cut around 220 kg (500 lbs) by switching from steel to aluminum for bodywork. It also adds an optional 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 with stop / start (13.3 cities, 10.4 highways).

You can choose between four trims (XL, XLT, King Ranch and Platinum), three cabin styles (regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew) and short or long beds.

The Edmunds review site likes “strong power and excellent fuel economy” from the V-6s turbo, impressive payloads, towing and off-road capabilities and a long list of technologies for comfort, convenience and security.

The complaint? Aluminum body panels are more expensive to repair than steel. And with empty beds, the truck has a harder ride than competitors, he said.

Consumer Reports gave F-150 2015 two out of five for reliability.

There are seven drawings, including one to fix door latches that have the potential to freeze.
