Used Cars Fayetteville Nc Under 5000 – Suitable for winning. It sounds simple, but the Money Carlo Match to Win match is not very clear. This is one of several promotions sent by car dealers throughout North Carolina. Aaron Parker accepted the game card and thought maybe he really won.

“I usually, just like everyone else, I just throw away these things,” he said. “The clue is suitable for winning.” The ticket says, “If you have a suitable partner, you win.” Parker triple 7s matches and points to the $ 5,000 prize. So he called the dealer who sent the mailer.

“They asked for your confirmation number, so we gave them,” Parker said. “They said, ‘Yes, you got a winning ticket. You have to schedule an appointment to come here and take your prize.'”

Parker drove 30 miles from Selma to Doug Henry Buick GMC at Goldsboro.

“They have a large table. There may be eight or 10 people there at the time. It is clear that everyone is there for the same reason,” he said.

Parker said the reality of “asterisks” was then arranged. A seller points to the underlined print that reads, “Compare your confirmation code with the gift board.”

The Parker Code doesn’t match anything.

“At that time, he then asked me what type of vehicle I drove and if I was interested in trade-ins or whatever,” Parker said.

Parker’s complaint was one of at least 10, involving seven dealers, which Attorney General Josh Stein was investigating. Advertising promises a variety of prizes, from gift cards or cash to iPad, television, shipping or new cars.

“Read good writing because they will always put something very big that is interesting to try and draw you in, but then there are some qualifications at the bottom,” Stein said.

Three complaints to Stein’s office involve Fayetteville Auto Mall Kia.

After the attorney general contacted the dealer, Fayetteville Kia issued a check for one customer. Dealer General Manager Leland Fuller told 5 On Your Side, the check was $ 500 and that “everyone gets a prize.”

Fuller said he “allowed” the investigation of Stein’s office “whatever they investigated.”

WRAL’s 5 On Your Side also contacted dealer Doug Henry at Goldsboro about the Parker experience. “We cannot comment on this issue. “It’s being investigated now,” said lawyer Jim Rivenbark.

On Monday, the 5th day of On Your Side aired the story, Parker received a response to his complaint with the Attorney General’s Office. Rivenbark wrote, “The letter is not misleading but can be misunderstood.” He added “I have advised my clients that he is not using this program anymore.”

Parker said he thought the match ticket was not only misleading, but unethical.

“If the whole game is about a confirmation number, it should have clearly said that, and I don’t feel like that,” he said.

Stein said he did not think the game should be part of the process of buying a car.

“If you want to buy a car, do research on what the best car is for you and then find out which dealer will give you the best price,” Stein said. “Then, visit the dealer. That’s what I recommend. ”

He also said if he got Carlo Match money to win the match ticket by post, he would throw it away.

Parker said that was his first tendency. He said, behind him, he should have done that. His job involved reviewing the language of the insurance contract, so he felt that, if he was fooled, anyone could be fooled.
